The Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WHCA) is a non-profit membership group based in Blue Mountain Lake, devoted to preserving, studying, building, restoring, and using wood, wood-canvas, cedar strip and birchbark canoes, and to disseminating information about canoeing heritage in North America. One of the many features of this site is the archive of Wooden Canoe, the bi-monthly journal of the WCHA, which is the only regular source of information on wooden canoe history, building, restoration, and recreation available.

The Adirondack Runners club was founded in 1973 to promote running on both a recreational and competitive basis in the greater Glens Falls area. Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC)

The HMRRC is the Capital-Saratoga area’s largest running club, sponsoring nearly 30 events per year. The Adirondack Marathon, taking place this year on September 24, is becoming known as the most beautiful 26 miles, 385 yards you'll ever run.
