"Had To Hang Onto It By Force!"
I finally picked
up an Oct. issue at the Monroe Park trail run. It was great to see your
[distribution] outreach. I got the last copy and had to hang onto it by
force! I'm a big fan of Adirondack Sports & Fitness now and
find myself promoting your work by spreading the word about it and where
your magazine can be found locally. For active people like me, the publication
is a major resource. It's still easier, I think, to peruse a printed piece
than it is to bang the computer looking for information and events.
Keep doing good work.

It was nice to see
the picture and editorial on John Denver [October 2000]. He really made
a difference!

I just wanted to
let you know that I love the magazine. As I finish each issue, I pass
them on to friends and co-workers for them to enjoy as well. Being that
I am from the lower Hudson Valley, I would love to see some information
for my region. Perhaps in future issues you could include events for areas
such as Harriman State Park or Bear Mountain State Park; both are part
of the Appalachian Trail.
Keep up the great
work!

Maps
I'm a Science Teacher
over at Schuylerville High School. While on a hiking trip in the Adirondacks
this summer I picked up a copy of Adirondack Sports & Fitness,
and I enjoyed the issue very much. It's now a dirty, sort of ragged
copy of your July 2000 issue. I'd love to find out if I could get a new,
good clean copy of it.
I teach Earth Science,
we deal with contour maps and you have a map in there of a bike trail
near Lake George that I've integrated into the curriculum as an example
for my students of a local "real world" map. I'm using it to
study maps in my classroom. I would like to subscribe for others like
that in future issues.
